Toshiba Sedang Mempersiapkan Tablet Toshiba SmartPad

Direktur Pemasaran Toshiba, Mark Whittard, membuat pengumuman yang  menarik di sebuah acara pers di Australia. Menurut dia, perusahaan sedang sibuk bekerja memproduksi sebuah tablet touchscreen, yang dijuluki Toshiba SmartPad. Sayang tidak disebutkan  sistem operasi apa yang akan digunakan perangkat tablet ini, tapi kemungkinan besar adalah OS Google Android , atau Microsoft Windows 7.

Rincian tidak disampaikan pada acara tersebut, namun perangkat prototipe yang ditampilkan tidak menawarkan HDMI dan port USB, dan tampaknya akan mendukung digitizer dan kemampuan multi-touch.
